This month, Dr. Roberto Coquis, distinguished member of our Chapter and present Secretary of PAMS, ended a four-year appointment as Advisor in the "Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases Advisory Council" of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His appointment run from November 2003 to October 2007 and reflects the recognition given to his outstanding career. He was appointed by the Secretary for the US Department of Health and Human Services, Tom Thompson.
